 "When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on"- Coco Chanel. Im sorry Mrs. Chanel but, I beg to differ. I never leave the house without my Yurman bracelets, in fact I shower with them. I love to pile on and sometimes its not enough. The cliche to never mix brown and black, gold and silver are very passe. It's more authentic when you mix old with new, shiny with dull and all the unexpected. 

Fallon does a great combination of gold and silver, spikes, studs and stones. Fallon's designer Dana Lorenz, has collaborated with some of fashion's heavy weights ; Proenza Schouler and Thakoon. The line has done one-off collabs with J.Crew, and Opening Ceremony. 

My favorite accessories editor Taylor Tomasi-Hill from Marie Claire styled a shoot showcasing some dope pieces for their spring line.

Franca Sozzani, Italian Vogue's Editor in Chief has lived up to her promise in making sure Black models were well represented in the magazine. This recent editorial "Black Allure" falls nothing short of gorgeous.

BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE

It snowed here in Dallas recently. I swear Texas has some of THE most bi-polar weather. One minute it is 75 degrees and the next day it drops to 19 degrees. I felt like I was back in Chicago for a second. Since Erykah and I played hooky from school and work, we decided to shoot in our backyard ; ) ! Roy came over and we all wanted to play in the snow. That all lasted a good 3 minutes. Our fingers became frostbitten and our feet felt numb. We didn't get too many good shots in but had fun nonetheless. After shooting, we attempted to grocery shop for winter food; chili, hot chocolate, and cookies. The looks we received were priceless. It turned out to be a fun, RANDOM snow day! 

Erykah wore a Zara jacket, vintage fox stole, Comme Des Garcons bloomers,  BCBG turban, Nine West OTK boots. 

I wore a Ralph Lauren Blue Label blazer, Forever21 belt, H&M turtleneck, vintage skirt, vintage petticoat, Tretorn for H&M wellies.

PRADA SPRING 2011

This was one of my favorite shows for spring and the video is amazing! I can't wait to try this hairstyle one night out. The eyebrows will be replicated in a future post Im sure. These creepers can replace my Wangs, which I've worn to DEATH.

TRENCH WARFARE

Quick Post! I have class in thirty minutes and I wanted to share what I wore yesterday to meet with some friends. I bought this trench coat at Buffalo Exchange in Houston. Its nameless but I want to say it is from the 80's. I love the black lining on the inside. 

The shoes are by Nine West and look identical to the Stella McCartney slingbacks from F/W 2010.  I love how pointy they are. 

The jeans I found on sale at The Gap for 20 bucks. They are a black wax denim.

I guess I shall prepare for class...
